Since its inception, PowerPoint has become a crutch to many professionals. Dozens of Fortune 500 companies have either limited its use or prohibited it entirely. Instead of sharing exciting ideas, providing critical information or conveying a central meaning, after three decades PowerPoint continues to bore its audience to tears and turn presenter’s messages into mind-numbing, blood shot eyed presentations piled atop in countless slides of pie charts, graphs and juvenile clip art images.
In this seminar, participants will learn how to turn presentations into a compelling narrative, excite their audience and make the information stick. Each participant will learn how to avoid the common PowerPoint pitfalls and utilize it as a useful, non critical tool. Participants will be assigned practical exercises on familiar topics. Each participant will make a short PowerPoint presentation and be judged by their peers for their effectiveness, efficiency and overall impact.
