The Sheffield Institute Summer Scholars Program is the perfect way for current college students to learn about the marketing industry and develop real-world business skills in their respective discipline.
Sheffield is seeking a driven and passionate Video Producer to hone their skills and improve their craft by doing real work all the while contributing to the success of a professional agency.
The Video Editor intern will learn first-hand the video editing and shooting preparation processes. They will become familiar and will learn how to work under deadlines while maintaining a high level of adaptability and have a willingness to receive constructive feedback. Key success factors include an attention to detail, organization skills and creativity that contribute to the effectiveness of the production process.
Sheffield is a boutique-marketing agency in Chicago’s West suburbs that specializes in messaging, video production and content development. We help organizations find their story and create compelling ways to package and tell it.
Position Description
The responsibilities of this internship position are:
- Log, capture and organize footage
- Edit video in a fast-paced environment
- Prepare and coordinate on-site and in-house video shoots
- Interface regularly with the Client Services teams
- Contribute continuously to the creative process through collaboration and brainstorming
Minimum Job Requirements:
- An instinct for storytelling in a visually compelling way and excellent communication skills
- Analytical thinker who can see how each story fits into the bigger picture
- Two years of using and operating a camera and sound/lighting equipment
- Entering Junior or Senior year working towards a BA/BS in Video Production or related field
- Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Avid, Illustrator and audio editing software are desired
- Ability to operate with a high degree of personal accountability, urgency and vision
- Ability to work under deadlines and operate with a high degree of flexibility
